How to update source text segments in XTM Cloud

Introduction

This short article will guide you through the process of updating source text segments in XTM Cloud. It outlines the necessary steps to successfully apply new source content in a project.

As of now, it is not possible to edit source file content directly within XTM Workbench. To apply new source content, users must perform the so-called continuous project update, which involves uploading an updated source file into a specific XTM Cloud project. Instructions

  1. Prepare the Updated Source File:

  • Ensure that the updated source file contains the new content you wish to apply. The updated file should have the same name as the original file, to facilitate proper linking.

  1. Access the Project Editor:

  • Navigate to the Project Editor in your XTM Cloud instance [Projects → Project list → (select a relevant project)].

  1. Manage Source Files:

  • Go to Files → Manage Source Files → Add or Update Files.

  • Upload the updated source file.

  1. Select Reanalysis Option (if needed):

  • If you wish to reanalyze other files in the project, select the Reanalyze project option during this process.

  1. Save Changes:

  • Confirm and save your changes to initiate the continuous project update.
