Displaying user information in XTM Cloud

Introduction

You might sometimes wonder why, in some places across the XTM Cloud platform (e.g. in Comments), you can see actual user details such as a username:

whereas, in others (e.g. in Segment filters), all you can see is a number:

XTM Cloud displays user personal information in different ways as it offers a variety of options for doing so.

Specifics

In XTM Cloud, the user with administrative privileges is the one who decides what type of information about users is to be displayed in the XTM Cloud UI (username, user ID, first and last name, initials) and also where that information is to be made available for all users or only Project Managers to see, or for no one to see (locked segments, comments, segment filters, term metadata, TM match metadata).

All the settings are set at global level in XTM Cloud (Configuration → Settings → Security → Privacy settings).
