Public Cloud, Private Cloud, Suite – server differences
Introduction
Although XTM Cloud, as a translation management system provider, offers cloud-based CAT software, there are several server variants to choose from when subscribing to XTM Cloud.
There are three types of XTM Cloud product that you can purchase:
Public Cloud,
Private Cloud (PVC),
Suite (on-premise).
Private Cloud and Suite can be collectively labeled as standalone servers: in contrast to Public Cloud, standalone clients have their own separate servers so that they do not share system resources with any other clients.
Major differences
PUBLIC CLOUD | PRIVATE CLOUD (PVC) | SUITE (ON PREMISE) |
---|---|---|
This type of hosting assumes residing on the same Cloud server with the vast majority of other clients, which implies sharing all the system resources. | This type of hosting assumes having a separate personal Cloud server which is still managed entirely by the XTM International administration team. | This type of hosting assumes having an on-site server, which implies its own IT architecture and sole management by the Client’s IT team. |
