Delete a project
Introduction
The recommended way of managing closed projects is to archive them via the designated functionality. This allows you to keep the information about the project and its files for as long as needed. For details, see the Archive projects and quotes and Minimize file volume for onCloud instances guides.
You can also cancel unnecessary projects or label them with a specific category.
However, occasionally, you might need to delete a single project because it was, for example, created for testing purposes or by mistake.
By deleting a project, you remove it from the database completely.
Only users whose rights include deleting can delete quotes on the XTRF Platform. To learn more about users’ rights, see the https://help.xtm.cloud/xtrf/home-portal/configuration-menu/en/user-groups-and-rights.html article.
Projects cannot be deleted in batches. You can delete only one project at a time.
What happens when you delete a project?
When you delete a project, XTRF deletes the associated quote and suggests deleting the associated offer and its opportunity. For details, see the guide. As a result, the selected project, associated quote, offer, opportunity (unless it contains other offers), and all associated files will be completely deleted from the system.
Some project items cannot be deleted because they are locked by other elements of the XTRF Platform:
Projects that have been invoiced (client or vendor invoice).
Projects associated with CRM items.
