Configure the sign-in options and password requirements for XTRF Portals

XTRF Portals can be configured separately regarding the signing-in process. For each portal, you can decide whether you want users to sign in using their credentials, SSO, or both options. If you opt for traditional sign-in with username and password, you can also select a different required password strength for each portal.

To configure the sign-in options, go to the Configuration menu > General Configuration > Security > Home Portal / Vendor Portal / Client Portal tabs.

The three ‘Portal’ tabs in the Security section have the same structure. The following guide applies to each of them.

  1. In the Sign-in Form card:

    1. Use the toggle in the top right-hand corner to enable or disable signing in with user credentials.

    2. From the Required Password Strength drop-down list, select the desired password requirements. XTRF offers three strength levels for passwords:

      • Weak - any password is accepted

      • Medium - the password must contain at least 8 characters, 1 lowercase letter, 1 uppercase letter, and shouldn’t contain the username.

      • Strong - the password must contain at least 8 characters, 1 lowercase letter, 1 uppercase letter, 1 numeral, and 1 special character, and shouldn’t contain the username.

  2. In the Single Sign-On (SSO) card:

    1. Use the toggle in the top right-hand corner to enable or disable signing in with SSO.

    2. Fill in the details according to the Configure the Single sign-on (SSO) | Basic SSO configuration guide.

  3. Click the Save button in the page’s top right-hand corner.

The SSO feature is available only for specific XTRF plans. Additional charges may apply. Please contact our Help Desk or your Regional Growth Manager for more information.
