XTM Connect - AEM 2.3.0-6.5.7 and Cloud-2022.3.6582
Date: March 23, 2022Â
XTM Cloud min. version: v12.9
New or improved functionalities
With XTM Connect - AEM it is now possible to define a standard XTM Cloud Project Manager within a specific configuration.
API calls will still be made with the main credentials provided there, but created projects’ PM can be set independently of those credentials
With XTM Connect - AEM, cancelling a translation project in AEM will trigger an email notification to notify the relevant XTM Cloud project manager about the event. Additionally, it is now possible to configure if the XTM Cloud project needs to be archived or completely deleted when the respective project is cancelled in AEM.
Only available for AEM 6.5 - With XTM Connect - AEM it is now possible to start a project directly in XTM Cloud and automatically update the status of the project in AEM.
A periodic task (configurable via OSGi) will check projects that have their scope requested and completed on AEM side for their status on XTM side - if a given project is started on XTM side, it will also be started on AEM side
The connector has been further rewritten to leverage more REST API compared to SOAP
Added support for HTTP proxies for REST API calls
Removed obsolete screenshots from the installation package
Improved logging
Reduced the size of logged messages so that the log file is easier to navigate
Only applicable to AEM 6.5 - AEM 6.5 Service Pack 7 fixed an issue affecting the correct generation of AEM pages with names starting with numbers
Various minor fixes to DITA translation process
Fixed issue which prevented importing of large (over 16384 bytes) translation output XMLs on AEM Cloud
The issue was not replicated on AEM 6.5 SP 7, however the same fix would address that specific root cause, should it ever occur on non-Cloud AEM
Known issues
Unable to set due date on AEM translation job due to Coral UI bug - this bug has already been fixed as of AEM 6.5 Service Pack 9
AEM Translation Jobs occasionally get stuck if users click Request Scope and immediately click Start on the same Job
Note: Requesting scope before starting a translation job is not mandatory. When using this functionality, it is necessary to wait at least 30 seconds before starting the job, and preferably wait until the scope is available in AEM
In AEM Cloud:
Occasionally, pages with existing language copies cannot be added to manually-created projects - issue reported to Adobe
When translation jobs are cancelled, the author should be alerted that the translated content will be deleted - this alert does not appear in all cases
Not all images are sent for translation - issue reported to Adobe
This does not affect XTM Workbench Visual mode
AEM’s built-in preview generation does not work for pages with names that begin with a digit (ex. error handling pages like 404)
Issue reported to Adobe
As a workaround, XTM’s preview generator (described above) can be used
The Send to translation in XTM option cannot be used when submitting content through translation from the Edit menu within a site.
