New or improved functionalities

  • Thanks to the new custom XTM exporter for XTM Connect - AEM, linguists can now experience an enhanced in-context preview functionality in XTM Workbench Visual mode.

    • The exporter does not require any configuration, as opposed to the configuration required by AEM’s native page exporter

    • The exporter is selected by default; preview generation can be switched to AEM exporter or disabled altogether within the connector’s cloud service config:

       

  • XTM Connect - AEM now leverages the newest XTM Cloud REST API when handling multilingual translation projects. This results in performance enhancements and a more accurate way of processing source files during project creation.

    • Now, when a new language is added to a project, existing files’ jobs will not be duplicated for the new language

XTM Translation Connector Settings - Visual Mode

  • The connector can now handle locales even when defined with non-standard language codes.

  • XTM Connect - AEM now fully supports AEM launches.

Known issues

  • Unable to set due date on AEM translation job due to Coral UI bug - this bug has already been fixed as of AEM 6.5 Service Pack 9

  • AEM Translation Jobs occasionally get stuck if users click Request Scope and immediately click Start on the same Job

    • Note: Requesting scope before starting a translation job is not mandatory. When using this functionality, it is necessary to wait at least 30 seconds before starting the job, and preferably wait until the scope is available in AEM

  • In AEM Cloud:

    • Occasionally, pages with existing language copies cannot be added to manually-created projects - issue reported to Adobe

    • When translation jobs are cancelled, the author should be alerted that the translated content will be deleted - this alert does not appear in all cases

    • Not all images are sent for translation - issue reported to Adobe

      • This does not affect XTM Workbench Visual mode

    • AEM’s built-in preview generation does not work for pages with names that begin with a digit (ex. error handling pages like 404)

      • Issue reported to Adobe

      • As a workaround, XTM’s preview generator (described above) can be used
