Excel365: Naming convention for connector projects

Introduction

In Excel635, there is only one way in which XTM Cloud project names are generated automatically, based on the name of your Excel file, spreadsheet and the content of the first cell.

Specifics

The project name for a single XTM Cloud project consists of three components, each one separated by an underscore:

  1. Name of your Excel file.

 

  1. Name of your spreadsheet, which contains the content.

  1. Content of the very first cell that you are sending for translation in XTM Cloud.

For example, the name of an XTM Cloud project looks like this: Book_Sheet1_Video Games.

To create the names of source files in XTM Cloud, the pattern used is:

excel-source_[LANGUAGE_CODE]_[INCREMENTING INTEGER].xlf

EXAMPLES:

  • excel-source-de_DE-0.xlf,

  • excel-source-pl_PL-1.xlf.
