Introduction

This article provides answers to questions frequently asked by clients when they begin working with the Drupal connector.

Questions and answers

What is happening in Drupal when a project is being reopened on the XTM Cloud end?

Once an XTM Cloud project is imported back to the Drupal CMS, reopening it on the XTM Cloud side will not have an impact on the CMS whatsoever. Therefore, any new or updated content should be first translated by means of a new project.

What might be the reason for the File does not exist in the following location message in the logs? I cannot retrieve the translated file from XTM Cloud back to the Drupal CMS.

In the vast majority of cases, the message File does not exist in the following location might indicate that the project has already been archived on the XTM Cloud side; as a consequence, the Drupal connector cannot process the target file. Once you reactivate the project in the XTM Cloud UI and refresh its status in the Drupal CMS, the project should update the status accordingly.

What happens if the source content in Drupal is updated after it is sent off for translation in XTM Cloud?

Once you make revisions to the content that was already sent off for translation in XTM Cloud, it will be displayed as a draft in the CMS, suggesting that the new content (with revision) was not sent to the XTM connector. Therefore, it is not recommended to make any changes to the content after it was sent to translation, as the changes in question will not be sent at all; as a consequence, the target will not be matched to the source in XTM Workbench.

That might also cause the translated content not to make it back to Drupal since the source content sent to XTM Cloud and the content in the CMS now differ from each other.

On no account will the new or updated content in the CMS be sent to XTM Cloud automatically. However, XTM Connect - Drupal has some automated functions for continuous submission of new (or updated) source content for translation in XTM Cloud.
