Guidelines

In the AEM connector, you can adjust the time intervals at which particular actions related to XTM Cloud projects are to be performed. To modify them, go to the Translation Platform Configuration section in AEM UI.

  1. Go to Adobe Experience Manager → Tools → OperationsWeb Console.

  1. Once in there, find and display the Translation Platform Configuration panel.

The panel presents four options which you can configure as required:

  • Scheduler Cron → This scheduler is responsible for performing background updates on AEM projects, such as changing the statuses of jobs or returning translated items to AEM. The option uses the cron command-like utility, and its default execution time is set at "every 24 hours at 1:00 AM". You can modify this value to suit your requirements by entering a new one.

  • Scheduler Repeat Translation Cron → This scheduler is responsible for updating XTM Cloud continuous projects with new content that was created in AEM since their last update. The option uses the cron command-like utility, and its default execution time is set on “every 24 hours at 12:00 AM". You can modify this value to suit your requirements by entering a new one.

Refer to the following Cron expression generator if you need help with setting up a suitable and valid cron expression.

  • Sync lock timeout → Use this option to enter a time value (in minutes) for locking content when translation synchronization takes place. The default time is set to "1440 minutes".

  • Export Format → Use this option to select a default format in which your translation jobs can be exported. The default is “XML". You can choose one of the following formats:

    • XML,

    • JSON,

    • XLIFF 1.2,

    • XLIFF 2.0.
