Introduction

In some XTRF integrations with CAT tools, you can configure the automatic creation of a linked project in the CAT tool. This automation is configured in a process template.

As for now, this automation is supported only in integration with memoQ

A linked project in memoQ can be created automatically when all of the following conditions are met:

  1. The Smart project in question uses a memoQ-integrated process that includes at least one memoQ-integrated step.

  2. The memoQ Project Creating option is enabled in the process template (for details, see the Configuration section below).

  3. At least one language combination has been added to the project.

  4. The project in question has not yet been linked to another memoQ project.

Configuration

To enable this automation for a specific process template, perform the following steps:

  1. Go to the (blue star) Configuration menu > Projects and Quotes Process Templates (Smart).

  2. Open the required memoQ-integrated process template.

  3. Scroll down to the CAT Tool Configuration card.

  4. Make sure that the correct memoQ Instance and memoQ Project Template are selected.

  5. In the memoQ Project Creating section, select the Automatic option.

Your changes are saved automatically.

Use

When you add a new memoQ-integrated Smart project, ensure it uses a properly configured process template. When you add a language combination (and all other conditions have already been met), XTRF initiates the creation of a linked project in memoQ. Notifications at the top of the screen will inform you about the linked project creation stages.

After a linked project is created successfully, you cannot change the memoQ project template.
