Introduction
Translation memory stores previously translated texts in the so-called translation memory entries that consist of source and target text. The TM Manager window is the place to import, edit, and export your translation memory.
In order to have the access to the translation memory section, the user needs to have a TM Expert role applied in the user’s settings.
Furthermore, in the Access rights tab, and then in the Translation memory section of the user’s settings, you can specify the customers to whom a given user shall have access, use user’s language combinations only or customize concrete TM access rights.
Guidelines
Go to TM → Manage section.
2. Select the Account and the Customer (you can display translation memory for all customers), the source and target languages as well as a certain Project (again, you can choose all of them) click the Search button. You can also search for a translation memory unit based on words it contains, the ID in the database or the source file ID.
3. Translation memory search results have now been displayed in the below table.
4. Click any of the row in order to edit it. You can edit either source or target text.
The edited text saves automatically and the modification icon displays.
5. Use the Search phrase field to find and replace text in the target text. Type text in the Search phrase field and click the Search button. Then type the new text in the Replace with field, and click the Replace all
button.
Please, remember that you can perform a replacing function only on the target segment (due to safety restrictions).
6. You can use also the following tools which are placed on the left and right-hand side of the page to manage translation memory entries.
7. Status to the right of a given TM row indicates whether or not this entry is approved. You can decide on the its actual status any time by changing it ad hoc.
