Is it possible to regain XTRF-MemoQ Integration After a MemoQ Project is Archived or Deleted?

Case

Issue: The integration between XTRF and memoQ is broken because the corresponding project in memoQ was archived or deleted.
Impact: XTRF can no longer communicate with the memoQ project, preventing updates or new jobs from being synchronized.

Cause

Archiving or deleting a project in memoQ severs the connection with XTRF. This behavior is by design, as XTRF relies on an active memoQ project to maintain integration. Once a project is archived or deleted, the integration cannot be directly restored. Even if corresponding project in memoQ is unarchived.

Resolution

It is not possible to restore the connection between XTRF and a memoQ project once the project is archived or deleted.

Potential Workaround

If the project in memoQ has been unarchived:

  1. In XTRF, change the process of the affected project to a different one.

  2. Revert the process back to the original one.

  3. Check if a new memoQ project is created and if integration is restored.

This workaround might trigger XTRF to create a new project in memoQ based on the current configuration.
