Contentful: Is it possible to add a new source content item to an existing XTM Cloud project?

Introduction

XTM Connect – Contentful not only enables you to send an updated source content item to an existing XTM Cloud project, which has not yet been finished, but also add new source files to that project, through the Contentful CMS. This is possible within the framework of the Continuous project feature.

Instructions

  1. When logged into the Contentful CMS, go to a particular content item that you want to send to an existing XTM Cloud project.

  2. Log into the XTM Connect – Contentful translation plugin as usual (for more information about ways to access the plugin, read the following article: Contentful: Two ways to access the XTM Connect – Contentful translation plugin).

  3. In the Continuous project section, use the Active XTM projects (optional) dropdown to select the XTM Cloud project to which your content item is to be sent for translation.

  1. Click on Send for translation.

  2. That is it! You have successfully added a new source content item to an existing XTM Cloud project!

If you update an existing project, which has already been started in XTM Cloud, the project's In progress status in the Translation queue will first change to Sent, and then change back to In progress.
