Locale: Add GitLab to your workspace

Learn how to add GitLab to your workspace

To automatically have your app on GitLab translated by professionals, you first need to connect it to your workspace. Under Workspace Settings go to Connectors. Choose “Connect” under GitLab. A modal opens where you can your “Personal access token”.


Where can I find my personal access token?

You can create multiple personal access tokens.

  1. On GitLab, go to the top-right corner, select your avatar.

  2. Select Edit Profile.

  3. In the sidebar on the left, select Access Tokens.

  4. Enter a name and expiry date (for security reasons it's advised to create a token specific for Locale).

  5. Select the desired scopes (Locale needs read_repository and write_repository).

  6. Select “Create personal access token”.

  7. Copy the created token.

  8. Go back to Locale and paste it into the field Access token in the modal.

  9. That is it! You have now successfully connected your GitLab account.
