OCM: Two ways to manage Oracle translation jobs
Introduction
There are two ways in which you can view and manage Oracle jobs that have already been sent off for translation in XTM Cloud.
Use of a separate web application
One way to view and manage content for translation in XTM Cloud is to use a separate web application. Go to the relevant URL, which depends on which connector server you are using for the integration:
When you select the relevant URL, a login page is displayed. In it, enter the Client name, User email and Password.
IMPORTANT!
As you probably already know, you should log in using the credentials of a user that has previously been created in the Users section, in the Oracle administrator panel.
Next, select a Oracle project from which you want to submit content for translation in XTM Cloud.
You are now in a web-based Translation Queue panel. In it, you can view all your pending projects. The panel displays the basic details for your projects, such as their Project name, Source and Target languages, XTM status, XTM Customer, etc. You can also export details for the selected projects by selecting the Export option on the right-hand side of the panel.
IMPORTANT!
Keep in mind that you cannot import finished translation projects from the Translation Queue. You can do so only from the Translation Jobs section in the Oracle CMS.
Use of the Translation jobs section in the CMS
All your assets that have been sent off for translation in XTM Cloud are located in the Translation Jobs section, in the Oracle CMS. In the Assets section, expand the More Actions dropdown on the right-hand side of the page. Then select Translation Jobs.
You will see a list of all translation jobs that have been created so far. The information provided includes:
Name of the translation job.
Name of the translation connector that has been used.
Actual status of the translation job.
Now, click on the translation job. You will see more detailed information about the languages used, etc.
Once translation is completed, the whole project needs to be finished in XTM Cloud so that the translation can be imported back into the Oracle CMS, seamlessly.
