TL;DR

  • The improved Advanced job offers solution is now integrated in the Home Portal and no longer requires XTRF Chat.

  • Client Portal 2.0 supports the sharing of links as deliverables, and several UX enhancements have been implemented.

  • The new ‘Buyer Reference’ field has been added to projects and quotes included in automatic e-invoicing, to improve routing and validation.

  • Smart XTM Cloud integration has been improved at the architectural level.

This release contains an important security fix. We highly recommend that you upgrade to this version.

New features

Home Portal-embedded Advanced job offers

Advanced Job Offers is an XTRF solution that helps you automate vendor selection by enabling you to create and implement your own vendor-choice strategies. When it has been set up, vendor selection via advanced job offers requires little or no attention from you.

Previously, Advanced job offers required both you and your vendors to use the XTRF Chat. We have improved and simplified the process for creating prospecting strategies and selecting vendors, and made the Advanced job offers functionality available directly in the Home and Vendor Portals.

For those who are familiar with the previous edition of Advanced job offers, here are the most important changes:

  • Job prospecting can be configured using the Projects & Quotes options in the Configuration menu.

  • Access to the Advanced job offers configuration can now be controlled through dedicated User Groups and Rights settings.

  • Vendors can no longer use negotiations.

  • Vendor ranking has been simplified.

  • Job offers can be filtered more easily.

  • The user experience across the functionality has been improved.

Improvements

Client Portal 2.0:

Important: After you upgrade to XTRF 10.7, please verify that your request form is configured correctly. If you notice any errors, correct them.

 

Home Portal:

  • In Smart Projects, links can now be considered as deliverables and shared with clients, instead of downloadable files.

  • The headers in Smart projects and quotes, Opportunities, and Project groups are now more function-rich and uncluttered.

E-invoicing:

Improved routing and validation thanks to the new ‘Buyer Reference’ field in projects and quotes. For details, see Configure the automatic creation of XML invoice files for Peppol BIS Billing 3.0 e-invoicing standard.

Smart XTM Cloud integration:

  • Enhanced system stability, scalability, and reliability due to the transition to an event-based communication architecture.

  • Synchronization issue, in which splitting an ‘Open’ job into bundles alongside a 'Ready' job caused a permanent freeze and corrupted project states, has been fixed.

  • Improved error messaging when project creation fails in XTM Cloud due to an incorrect or invalid project template.

Minor improvements

  • Vendors can no longer declare time spent on jobs that have already been invoiced.

  • The ‘Client Reference Number’ field has been renamed ‘Client PO number’ to maintain consistency across the system.

  • Erased user profiles are locked to prevent editing or reactivation.

  • Data from payables and receivables is now stored with greater precision – up to 10 decimal places.

Warnings & announcements 

From XTRF v. 11.0 onwards:

Client Portal 2.0 will be the default solution

Last year, we introduced Client Portal 2.0 – a more robust and highly customizable solution with an improved interface. From XTRF version 11.0, Client Portal 2.0 will become the default product for all customers, except those with specific custom adaptations. If you have any questions or unique requirements, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our Customer Success team for guidance.

End of Windows Server support

As previously announced, we will discontinue support for Windows Server starting from version 11. In future, we will only support Linux environments. We recommend that you plan any necessary transitions early, to ensure a smooth experience.

(For on-premise customers only) Support for PostgreSQL versions below 15 will be deprecated

As XTRF already supports PostgreSQL 15, you are advised to upgrade your database before upgrading XTRF.

We strongly recommend that you plan your upgrade to PostgreSQL 17 to stay current and supported.
