TL;DR

  • Client Portal 2.0 is now officially released.

  • The new ‘bulk change’ functionality enables up to 100 Smart jobs to be edited at once.

This release contains an important security fix. We highly recommend that you upgrade to this version.

Client Portal 2.0 official release

We are excited to announce the official launch of the Client Portal 2.0, a new product on the XTRF Platform, designed to enhance your interactions with clients.

The new Client Portal enables you to:

  • have more control over the options available for your clients.

  • tailor project and quote requests for each client separately.

  • localize custom fields and field descriptions.

  • offer your clients an improved user and customer experience.

To get access to the Client Portal 2.0, please send a request to https://xtm-cloud.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/15.

We highly recommend installing and testing Client Portal 2.0 on test instances before activating it on production instances. If you do not have a test instance, please make yourself familiar with the Client Portal 2.0 documentation before switching to the Client Portal 2.0. Some Client Portal 2.0 functionality is still being developed.

Known limitations (compared to the previous Client Portal):

  • Client Portal 2.0 does not support the “Client review” functionality in Phrase integration yet.

  • The Reports module is not available on the Client Portal 2.0.

Enabling Client Portal 2.0 on an instance will disable the previous Client Portal automatically. This means any customization settings made in the previous Client Portal will be lost, and branding options will be reset to the default values for Client Portal 2.0. However, data sourced from the Home Portal will not be lost.

Client Portal 2.0 is continually being improved, so we would greatly appreciate your feedback. To share your thoughts, ideas, and insights about the Client Portal 2.0 or other XTRF products, features, and functionality, click the Submit idea icon in the Help section on the top menu bar (for details, see Help menu).

Client Portal 2.0 improvements (compared to the Closed Beta version):

  • Custom Client Portal logo. You can now upload a different custom logo for your Client Portal 2.0 via the Branding functionality. For details, see Customize the Client Portal 2.0 branding.

  • Client-specific request forms. The request form configurator now supports separate request forms for different clients. For details, see Customize the ‘Request quote’ and ‘Request project’ forms.

  • Request form prefilling. Client Portal 2.0 users can now use the data from previous projects and quotes in new requests. For details, see Reuse project data in a new project or quote request.

  • Full localization. Client Portal 2.0 can be displayed in the same languages as your Home Portal. In addition, you can localize the request form fields and displayed services manually.

  • UI improvements:

    • New mechanism for requesting projects and quotes for contact persons with access to different offices.

    • More helpful field descriptions.

    • Improved filtering functionality in all modules.

    • New mechanisms prevent the loss of unsaved data from request forms.


New features

Bulk change of Smart job details

Less clicking, more efficiency: you can now edit the details of multiple Smart jobs at once. The same planned start and deadline dates, and vendor assignments, can be applied to up to 100 jobs simultaneously, via the bulk change functionality.
