Improvements
Hideable 'Sign in as this Partner' button
To protect sensitive client information, you can now decide which user groups can access Client Portals by hiding or displaying the Sign in as this Partner button in client profiles.
To permit a group of Home Portal users to log in to Client Portals, in the Configuration menu → User Management → User Groups and Rights, open the required user group, select the Sign in as Partner checkbox, and save the changes.
For users in this group, the Sign in as this Partner button will be displayed in client profiles → Main Data tab → System Accounts subtab.
By default, the Sign in as Partner checkbox is deselected for all user groups, and the button is not displayed in client profiles.
XTM Cloud integration improvements
Splitting source files for sharing between different vendors
You can now split source files in projects that are integrated with XTM Cloud. This action will create new XTRF jobs that are linked to XTM Cloud bundles.
File-splitting is performed in XTM Cloud. To reflect changes in an XTRF project, click the Synchronize now button in the Process card. For details, see the Manage an XTM Cloud-integrated project | Splitting files guide.
The integration will then synchronize the following:
XTM Cloud bundles, as separate jobs in XTRF.
XTRF job and linked XTM Cloud bundle statuses, in both directions.
Vendor (Linguist or LSP) assignments between XTRF jobs and linked XTM Cloud bundles.
In the Jobs card, bundle-linked jobs will be marked with this icon: . Bundle details will be displayed in the job side panel.
Jobs that are linked to bundles cannot be deleted.
Deleting integrated process steps and jobs
Deleting integrated process steps
You can now delete process steps in integrated projects via the Process Designer.
This action will delete the following:
The selected step in the XTRF process.
The corresponding workflow step in XTM Cloud, for all XTM Cloud jobs (i.e., files), in all languages.
Related Bilingual Documents (XTM Cloud links) from the Files card.
The first integrated step in the process cannot be deleted due to XTM Cloud workflow requirements.
Steps can only be deleted in projects to which files have been added.
Deleting integrated jobs
You can also delete individual XTM Cloud-integrated jobs if they meet the following conditions:
Jobs have Open status.
Jobs have not been invoiced.
Jobs are not in the first integrated step.
Jobs are not linked to XTM Cloud bundles.
At least one job belonging to the same step will remain in the project after deletion.
The first integrated job in the process cannot be deleted due to XTM Cloud requirements.
Jobs can only be deleted in projects to which files have been added.
Vendor synchronization XTM Cloud > XTRF
Vendor assignments now work in both directions! You can now synchronize Linguist and LSP assignments for both unsplit documents and bundles from XTM Cloud projects by clicking the Synchronize now button in the Process card.
Linguists from XTM Cloud will only be assigned to XTRF jobs whose status is Open.
Only Linguists who are mapped to XTRF vendors will be assigned to XTRF jobs. For details, see the XTM integration for Smart projects | Vendor mapping section.
The integration cannot automatically assign vendors with multiple price profiles if none of the profiles are marked as the default profile.
Other improvements
Deleting Smart jobs via the API
A new API endpoint enables individual jobs in Smart projects to be deleted via the Home Portal API: DELETE /v2/jobs/{jobId}
.
Warnings & announcements
From XTRF 11.0 onwards, support for PostgreSQL versions below 15 will be deprecated
As XTRF already supports Postgresql 15, you are advised to upgrade the database before upgrading XTRF.
XTRF UserEcho knowledge base sunset
Starting from XTRF v.10.3, the old UserEcho knowledge base will no longer be accessible. All the articles from this space have been transferred to the XTRF Knowledge Base and XTRF Product Overview documentation. If you cannot locate a specific article or guide, please contact the XTM Technical Writers team.
Patch releases are now published in changelog format
With the 10.3 release, XTRF patch releases have been transformed into a convenient Change Log. In it, you can easily locate specific improvements or bug fixes and keep up to date with the latest product updates.
Minor (e.g., XTRF v. 10.4) and major (e.g., XTRF v. 11.0) release notes will still be published in their usual form on the XTRF Release Notes page.
Please check the XTRF Change Log for relevant bug fixes and minor improvements included in the XTRF 10.3 version.
