About Customer Project Managers (CPMs)
Introduction
Customer Projects Managers (CPMs) are another type of Project Manager (PM) role in XTM Cloud. They can be created by normal XTM Cloud Project Managers.
Similarly to the Limited Project Manager (LPM) roles (Limited Project Manager (LPM) roles – description and customization), CPMs differ from the standard Project Manager role in the sense that, unlike the latter, they do not have full control over almost the entire XTM Cloud UI panel. However, the most important characteristic of the CPM role is that it is assigned to a specific XTM Cloud customer, thus becoming its primary contact.
Creating a Customer Project Manager
In XTM Cloud, select Customers → Customer PMs → Add customer PM.
In the General information section, enter all required data marked with a red asterisk.
In the Account privileges section, select the relevant privileges:
Role:
Manager → Can create new projects, view all a project’s details, change information on the General tab and generate and download files.
Create & view → Can create new projects and view project details, metrics and estimates, but cannot make any changes. Not counted as a licensed user if XTM Portal is switched on.
Create & download →Can create new projects and download files, but cannot make any changes.
Viewer → Cannot make any changes at all.
Workflow access:
Minimal → Displays the minimum status of the file.
Standard → Displays the status of each bundle.
Trusted → Displays each step in the workflow.
Trusted with Editor Access → Displays each step in the workflow. The user can open XTM Workbench in view-only mode.
Terminology access:
If available, select the terminology functionality that you want to permit the Customer PM to use.
TM access:
If available, select the TM functionality that you want to permit the Customer PM to use.
In the Address section, enter or select relevant values (some of which are optional):
In the Customer section, select an XTM Cloud customer for this CPM. If you want the CPM to be the primary contact, select the Primary contact checkbox.
Finally, click on the Update button, to create a new CPM.
Assigning a CPM to the XTM Cloud customer
In the customer settings (Customers → Customer list → (select a customer) → Edit → Basic information), you can assign the CPM to a particular XTM Cloud customer:
You can select the CPM as a Project Manager for this specific customer.
You can also select the CPM as one of the Project watchers for this specific customer, provided you have selected the Show Customer PMs checkbox first.
