Handling a Password-Secured Excel file Generated from XTM Cloud, for Windows
Handling a Password-Secured Excel file Generated from XTM Cloud, for Windows
Introduction
Sometimes, if you generate an Excel file (target, preview or report) from XTM Cloud, and attempt to open it, this message might be displayed: The generated file is uneditable in Excel when it's protected, and opening it requires a password"
.
Troubleshooting instructions
If you experience this issue, it is due to Excel security standards, not the XTM Cloud file generating process.
To resolve this problem:
Follow the steps provided in the Unblock a single file section, on this web page: Microsoft Support.
After completing the process described on that web page, close and reopen your Excel file. After this change, you should be able to work seamlessly on the offline Excel file.
