Introduction

Very often you might end up wondering why in some places across the XTM platform (e.g. in comments), you can see actual user details, e.g. username:

whereas in others (e.g. in Segment filters) all you can see is a number:

XTM Cloud is quite diverse when it comes to displaying user personal information, as it offers a couple of options.

Specifics

In XTM Cloud, the user with administrative privileges is the one who decides on the type of information about users that is to be displayed in the XTM Cloud UI (username, user ID, first and last name, initials) as well as where that information is to be available for all users, for Project Managers only, or for no one (locked segments, comments, segment filters, term metadata, TM match metadata).

All the settings are set at the XTM global level, in Configuration → Settings → Security → Privacy.

Before reporting any issue concerning proper display of user details to the XTM International Support team, make sure to contact your XTM administrator first and confirm the related XTM settings.
