TL;DR
'Multiple change' functionality is now available for project groups.
Integration with XTM Cloud allows you to update source files in ongoing projects.
Tracking of the last target file delivery to the client is available on the Files card.
Integration with XTM Cloud offers more file management options.
New features
Multiple Change for project groups
Get more from XTRF Project groups! The incredibly useful 'Multiple Change' functionality is now also available for Smart projects and quotes linked to a group. It enables you to simultaneously assign people responsible for those projects and quotes (PM, salesperson, account manager, and project coordinator) and edit the following fields:
Client reference number.
Categories.
Client notes.
Internal notes.
Client deadline (for projects).
Expected delivery date (for quotes).
Offer expiration (for quotes).
To use Multiple Change, open the required project group, select the required Smart projects or quotes, and click the Multiple Change button at the top right-hand corner of the Linked Projects/Quotes card.
For details, see the Use the Project Groups feature and articles.
Continuous localization for integration with XTM Cloud
Now, if you add to an XTRF Smart project a source document with the same name as the existing one, the integration offers you two options:
To rename this file and add it to the XTM Cloud project as a new source file.
To update the existing source document. As a result, the existing source document is replaced with the new one, and the bilingual documents in XTRF get replaced with the new ones from XTM.
This functionality works for projects created in XTM Cloud and XTRF, but the source documents must be added to an XTRF project.
You can update source files even in a Started project.
Source file updating can also be executed via HP API.
For details, see the article.
Improvements
Tracking file delivery in Smart projects
No more wondering whether and when the target files were sent to your client. The Files card gets a new Last sent to client column that displays the timestamp of the latest file delivery event.
We have also added the Files sent to Client card on the right-hand side panel. In it, you can:
check the number of files already sent to the client.
click the See Files link to open a popup with the details of all sent files.
The Files sent to Client card is also present in Closed projects where no files were sent to the client.
Improved file management in the XTM Cloud Smart integration
Delete source and bilingual documents from an ongoing project
This functionality works for projects created in XTM Cloud and XTRF, but the documents must be deleted in an XTRF project.
You can delete files even after the XTM Cloud workflow has started.
Deleting a source document in XTRF will now result in deleting the corresponding bilingual documents in XTM Cloud (for all target languages) and XTRF (for all target languages and jobs).
Deleting a bilingual document in XTRF will result in deleting the corresponding bilingual documents in XTM Cloud (for the selected target languages) and XTRF (for other XTM workflow jobs for the selected target languages).
Deleting source documents can also be executed via HP API.
Manually download the CAT analyses from XTM Cloud
From now on, you can manually download CAT analyses for all bilingual documents of an integrated Smart project. Open the File actions menu on the Files card and click the Get CAT analyses for all documents option.
Manually download the translated documents from XTM Cloud
No more waiting until the project is finished to get the target files! For XTM Cloud-integrated projects, the File actions menu of the Files card now offers the Get all target files from the CAT tool option. It allows you to download all XTM target files manually at any moment.
New connector for the XTM Cloud Smart integration
Several technical improvements behind the scenes will make your integration more stable and easier to maintain.
No actions required! The only changes you may notice are on the integration page, where the read-only field Connector App URL is now displayed, and the Password field has replaced the Token field.
Minor improvements and relevant bug fixes
Component | Improvement |
---|---|
Smart project - Files | The Added by column displays the name of the user who added a specific file instead of the project's PM. |
Smart project - General, | The new date validation mechanism prevents invalid date input in the Client deadline, Ordered on, Offer Expiration, and Expected Delivery Date fields. |
Vendor Portal | Formatting settings from the Vendor contact person profile in the Home Portal are now respected in the Vendor Portal. |
Invoicing | Improved handling of large invoices with associated email messages. |
Files | Improved file stats calculation behavior for performance optimization. |
System – Performance | Performance fix related to unoptimized SQL query. |
Component | Bug | Fix |
Invoicing – Vendors | Quantity fields displayed different values from the saved one that was used for calculating payables. | In edit mode, Quantity fields display the saved value in full, and in display mode, the value is formatted according to the Quantity format setting. |
Classic projects and quotes | The job’s status couldn’t be changed from Accepted to Open in the job’s Main Data display. | Job status can be changed everywhere. |
Pricing and Rates | Rates in project and quotes and edited rates on invoice item level were cut to 5 decimal places instead of 10. | The limit of decimal places for invoice items and project and quote rates is increased to 10. |
Configuration – General | When users changed their clientId and clientSecret for the OAuth 2.0 authorization, there was no possibility of regenerating a new token in XTRF. | The Generate new token button is now also visible after the value of the Client ID or Client Secret fields has changed. |
Vendors | An unnecessary entry with an internal ID was displayed in the Vendor profile History tab. | No unnecessary entries are displayed in vendor history. |
Integrations – CAT – XTM | In projects involving over 60 languages and several XTM steps, CAT analyses were uploaded multiple times, prolonging the file-adding process. | The issue was solved by optimizing the handling of analysis creation events. |
Smart projects and quotes | The Added by filter did not work for links. | The Added by filter works for both files and links. |
Smart projects and quotes | No warnings were displayed when the character limit had been exceeded in Client notes and Internal notes fields. | The warning message is displayed as expected. |
Additionally, some technical fixes were made.
