Guidelines
In order to perform LQA, you need to be a Linguist with the LQA step assigned in the General info section of the user’s settings:
IMPORTANT!
This specific workflow step is only applicable to its corresponding step in a project workflow, labeled as LQA. The user does not need to be assigned with it if LQA is to be performed on any other CAT-tool step, such as Translate, Correct or Review.
2. In Workflow editor (Project editor → Workflow → Edit workflow), make sure you apply one of the two options under the step where LQA is to be performed:
Yes, save result in user record → apart from the possibility to add LQA errors in Workbench, it also stashes away the LQA result in a given user’s profile;
No, don’t save result in user record → it only allows for adding LQA errors in Workbench.
3. Assign the proper linguist to the step and enter Workbench as this linguist in the Edit mode.
4. In Workbench, choose a segment n which you would like to impose an LQA error(s), go to the LQA panel at the bottom and click Add error button:
5. Choose a specific LQA error you want to add, its Severity type, Quantity and, finally, add the said error to the segment and leave the LQA panel straight away by clicking on Add error and close button or stay in the panel and continue addition by clicking on the Add error button.
6. Once LQA errors are added, and the user stays in a given segment, they are immediately displayed with all the details in the Workbench bottom panel in the LQA tab:
7. In order to edit or remove LQA errors from the segment, hover over the last “empty” cell of the LQA error in question, and the two respective options will pop up:
8. You can also filter out segments with LQA errors by selecting a dedicated segment filter in Workbench (QA → LQA errors):
9. Depending on the type of LQA results you want to obtain, you can download two different types of the LQA report from XTM:
Project/file context menu;
Project LQA section.
