The XTRF Platform helps you to keep your quotes safe and manageable. However, from time to time, you may need to remove a single item because it was created for testing purposes or by mistake, or it turns out not necessary after all. Deleting a quote means you are erasing it from the database.

Info

Only users whose rigths include deleting can delete quotes on the XTRF Platform. To learn more about users’ rights, see the User Management - User Groups and Rights https://help.xtm.cloud/xtrf/home-portal/configuration-menu/en/user-groups-and-rights.html article.

Note that a regular user cannot delete more than one quote at a time. Only the admin user (the original user created in your XTRF) can delete multiple quotes simultaneously.

You can delete a quote from the list of quotes in the Quotes module. Smart quotes can be also deleted on the quote page.

Note

IMPORTANT!

Not all quotes can be deleted because some of them are locked by other database elements. You cannot delete quotes that:

  • have been converted into projects (in this case, you’ll need to delete the project too)

  • are associated with a CRM item.

To delete a quote from the Quotes module main page:

  1. Select an item on the list. Several buttons will appear on top of the list.

  2. Click the Delete button.

  3. Read the warning.

  4. Decide whether to delete the associated offer.

  5. Type in DELETE and confirm.

To delete a Smart quote from the quote page:

  1. Open the Smart quote in question.

  2. Scroll to the top of the screen.

  3. In the right-hand side corner, click the (blue star) icon.

  4. Click the Delete button.

  5. Read the warning.

  6. Decide whether to delete the associated offer.

  7. Type in DELETE and confirm.

  8. You will be taken to the main page of the Quote module.

Instead of deleting a quote, you can keep it with the rejected status, label it with an appropriate category, or archive the quote. To learn more about categories, see the System Values: Advanced - Categories https://help.xtm.cloud/xtrf/home-portal/configuration-menu/en/user-groups-and-rights.html article.
