Sometimes a phrase or an expression was is incorrectly translated into a particular language throughout the entire project cycle. As a consequence, such translation ends up in your TM base and is later proposed inaccurately as a TM match in further other XTM projects.
If the scope of the change you are going to perform is not excessively huge (a relatively small number of segmentsTM records) , or the phrase is quite short (usually one word), you can quickly update it directly in the XTM Cloud UI, without resorting to exporting your TM, updating it manually, and importing it back again. The method described here is also less error-prone, as you do not have to watch for the TM-specific settings in the XTM Cloud UI, as opposed to the process of manual update. Nonetheless, it is a good practice that such changes performed on a large-scale TM base should be first consulted with the XTM Support team.
