Keep in mind though, that not all custom variables can be converted into inline tags for certain file formats; for example: the This is because the XTM custom variable processor works on TEXT nodes, not on TAGS. Therefore, the whole tag can not be hidden in a custom variable. If the tag had any text content within, then such content could be hidden, but not the whole tag. Hiding tags can as well be set with ITS rules, but the .ts file format is a bilingual one and can not be processed with ITS configuration. |
